Beautiful bisque birdhouse, ready to paint!

This ceramic birdhouse is intended for decorative purposes, it would be beautiful placed in a garden, or even a home office setting.

Inside of the birdhouse is hollow making it lightweight and easy to display.

This birdhouse is made by hand using the slip-cast method. Each birdhouse is made in my studio, poured into a ceramic mold using premium slip. Once poured it is dried and removed from the mold as greenware. While the clay is still soft it is cleaned and fired in the kiln. Once fired it is cleaned once more and packed in many protective layers to be shipped off to you!

Simply use any acrylic paint to finish this birdhouse, you may also glaze the piece and have it fired in a kiln at your local ceramic shop. To protect acrylic paint, seal it with a clear varnish spray which is also found at any craft department store.
